Amaltaas reflects CHRN’s vision of bringing India’s textile heritage into contemporary footwear. Crafted from premium leather, it features authentic Bandhani, a centuries-old textile tradition from Gujarat and Rajasthan, recognised for its intricate hand tie-and-dye craftsmanship.
Carefully integrated into the sneaker rather than simply applied as decoration, the Bandhani textile becomes an essential part of the design. The balance of heritage craftsmanship, premium materials, and modern construction creates a sneaker that is rooted in culture while made for today’s streets.

We designed these premium suede sneakers to be more than footwear. They are a quiet tribute to Indian culture, craft, and the details that stay with us.
The upper is made in suede soft to the touch, yet built for everyday wear. That balance of ease and durability draws from the spirit of traditional Indian textiles: refined in feel, made to last in use. Every stitch, panel, and proportion has been considered with respect for design rooted in heritage.
At the center sits the CHRN mark. Its form draws from Kolam the hand-drawn floor patterns made across homes in South India. Built from flowing lines and repeated forms, Kolam carries ideas of rhythm, continuity, and everyday ritual. The CHRN logo takes that language and distills it into a contemporary form a mark shaped by movement, balance, and connection.
The 1947 imprint on the sole nods to a defining moment in India’s history the year we became free to walk our own path. It stands for movement, independence, and the confidence to carry your identity forward with every step.
