I was born in Bhavnagar, Gujarat, and raised in Mumbai. Growing up, I often wondered why every sneaker came from abroad why wasn’t there a global brand that carried the spirit of India? That question became a vision: to build a sneaker label rooted in Indian culture and heritage, yet fluent in the language of luxury. I studied Footwear Design & Development at FDDI, Chennai, and later pursued Luxury Brand Management at Istituto Marangoni. But while learning about global houses, I asked myself: why build their legacies when I could create my own? That conviction led me to leave my Master’s and dedicate myself fully to the brand. First named Charan, it later evolved into CHRN — Cultural Heritage & Royal Nation. A name that carries both my roots and my mission: to place India on the global sneaker map.

CHRN isn’t just a footwear brand. It’s a story of identity, heritage, and ambition.

CHRN is a sneaker brand that weaves heritage into every step. Rooted in India’s textiles, patterns, and architecture, it treats these traditions not as relics, but as living expressions of identity. Each pair is more than footwear—it is a canvas of continuity, blending technical precision with ancestral motifs. From the geometry of temple floors to the intricacy of handloom weaves, every line and detail carries a story from home.

CHRN is heritage and modernity in balance—a cultural archive made to be worn with pride and purpose.

Our story

CHRN was born from a search for belonging. In a world where sneaker culture felt borrowed, we asked what it would mean for an Indian form to shape the step. The answer took root in the country’s own traditions—woven textiles, sacred geometry, and architectural detail—and grew into sneakers that carry these motifs into a new context.

Every curve in our logo, every stitch and embroidered detail, carries with it the memory of home. CHRN is not an imitation of global sneaker culture, but an assertion: that India’s design language can walk confidently on any street in the world.
